Insider trading report: from Vickers Insider Trading reports which I can access thru my Telescan subscription indicates that Gerald Rubin, purchased 53,000 shares on 1/7/99 at a price of $13. His total holdings is 2,865,942 shares. Also on 1/7/99, Byron Rubin (director) purchased 9,000 shares at a price of $13.37. His total holdings are 9,000 shares.
The most recent selling was from Sam Henry, CFO sold 60,000 shares at 22.75 on 7/13/98.
One other note, the graph I have shows more buying during this downtrend from late Jan. thru current but the details haven't been released as part of the report.

So maybe the investor relations officer you spoke with is putting his money where his mouth is.

INCA is a Electronic communication system much like island. Certain market makers trade specifically through these systems. Most of the time, when there is institutional selling, you will usually see a different marketmaker than INCA, like maybe morgan stanley or merril lynch.

I watch stocks all day long, so I can sometimes identify the seller and in this case its been all INCA. He just sits on the ask showing a lot of usually about 1000 shares. Lots of trades go by, but he just keeps refreshing his ask price and sucks up the shares. Once he lifts, the stock moves up. He lifted right before the end today.

My guess is that he will be back when the stock moves up a little. Hopefully he will complete his obligation to his customer soon.

By the way, I did talk to Robert Spears from Helen last week. He felt things were fine and didn't know who the seller was. He thought they would meet their numbers this quarter.
