Thanks for the overclocking responses Sean and Spot.

I'll try boosting up the voltage tonight and see if I can make it smoke (in speed of course). I really don't care about the short processor chip life since it seems like I replace the processors every couple of years. However I was concerned about the PCI cards (video, etc.,). Does running at a higher voltage only effect the chip or would it also have an effect on the cards?

You didn't ask, but there are also potential problems with
underclocking the PCI bus, which you are doing if running
the mobo at 83.5 x 1/3 multiplier, or overclocking which
you are doing if running the mobo at 83.5 x 1/2 multiplier.
The PCI adapters may well be more sensitive than the
processor.


I thought the Abit BH6 ran on a 100Mhz PCI bus. Wouldn't running at 83.5 be underclocking or am I missing something.
