On Dec 15 IOM stated they had sold 20 mil zips. Release on Feb 17 stated 21 million. New release states 22 million zips. that appears to nearly approximate 1 million a month now from mid-Jan. to current which is about double the monthly amount in January 97. so, the number of zips sold per month continues to increase - increase over past twelve months tracks at 75% increase per month March 98 to March 99).

shorts stated the price drop by IOM was a "desparate measure". from the pure numbers, however, they are moving from a position of increasing strength relative to the number of zips sold. according to IOM, they've determined that they can make money at the current price point relative to the total number of disks which have also been selling (tie ratio per drive increases exponentially as the number of drives sold continue to increase on a monthly basis). IOM sold more zips in the past two months than Superdisk sold from Sept 98 to it's inception
