No, If you want to exercise the options you will have to indicate the intentions to your broker atleast 30 minutes before market close on the friday (before expiration). If you don't they expire worthless.

RE; selling options. No, trading ceases Friday. If you have an in-the-money option you have until Monday AM to exercise. Most firms will automatically exercise an option which is 3/8 to 3/4 in the money. Limit depends on firm policy. Hope this helps.
