Lawrence,

The little excursion into demographics is more an exercise in sketching possibilities. I agree it is hard to translate it into something useful. These forces play themselves out over decades yet we need to make decisions on a day to day basis. But it is interesting to think about on background.

As to Martin Armstrong. He is no different than most economist or forecasters, they all constantly overstate their records. I pay no attention to his models. However in his theorizing about what influences are causing market moves he often has interesting perceptions. I don't agree with everything but I do find him thought provoking.
