I would be surprised if they walked away from the deal barring a disastrous down thrust in the stock of CIEN. First where are these companies going to be able to go public as cheaply as this. Think of it they are going public without revenues at approx. $500,000,000 market cap each. It is a great deal for them. Additionally this keeps the merged entity way ahead of the competition in a market that was becoming commoditized. This is a very smart deal (albeit pricey) and was a must for Ciena if they hope to get their market price up before the ultimate buyout. Very positive move. We have to trust that Nettles knows what he is buying in terms of technology.

Do you honestly fear a dip below $20? I don't see it happening, personally, but it'd be one hell of a buying opp. if it did, IMO!

P.S. Anyone doubt now that Nettles meant what he said when he said the focus would now be on building CIEN's business, rather than on being acquired?
