Kash Re<< the consumer IMHO see's the Celeron as low end. Then the k6-2's in the middle. With the PII as the most desirable. Now the PIII's have the top spot and the K-3 will probably be on par with PII's for desirability. Even though the Celeron 433 is a great chip and better than a PII-400 it is still not as desirable as a PII 400 or k6-2 450.>> That pretty much sums it up. Microworkz, microworkz.com which has 8 desktop models, ranks their desktop from the most affordable to the most powerful (my words not theirs) as follow, 1. MII 333 2. MII 333 3. Cel 300 4. K6-2 350 5. K6-2 400 6. PII 400 7. PII 450 8. K6-III 450 sorry no PIII Microworks also today announced that they plan a PC for as low as $299 based on a MII. AMD is now a brand name in CPU, no question about it. K6-2 demands a premium to MII and Celeron, and K6-III demands a premium over PII. Of course the question of will they ever make any money from these "brand names" remains to be seen. Mani
