I really don't know for sure, but I would think the shareholders
of KRT want to be bought out by DeBeers. That has been
discussed on this thread since it was started. The SEC rules
are clear on the subject of cartels and it would affect KRT.
However, I am sure in the short term the SEC would not notice.

If KRT wants a shell, why not pay a lawyer a few grand to set
one up. They don't have to throw the baby out with the bath
water to get someone to get one. They are going from one bad
side of the tracks to another bad side of the tracks in a different town. I don't see why you need to pay a premium for that.
