All this talk about Amazon being acquired - does anyone have anything solid or is this pure speculation? I doubt anyone will be buying Amazon anytime soon. Maybe if it drops to $50 it might look more attractive, but even at that I doubt it. How much would Disney value their many brand names? If they valued each one at the same speculative level as Amazon, the value of Disney would be about 500 billion!

>>By the way, I really doubt AOL will ever acquire AMZN.<<
Glenn, I sure wouldn't want to be quoted as the guy that said "Aol will acquire amzn". This is a world of speculation. I'm just saying that there will come a day. When Bezos will need a partner. Just like Aol needed Bert or Bert needed Aol.
If and I say if Amzn stock ever comes back to earth. Bezos will need the $cash and muscle. I mean MS can't keep being his sugar daddy for ever.
What I keep watching for is a sign that indicates e-commerce companies like a brand name e-tailer like for example a Petco. Sign up with Amzn for them to handle all their internet ordering and billing.
This last decade outsourcing has become a way of life. It's not going to change.
You can quote me on that.
