This was issued Sunday evening.

Dear Subscriber,

Generally, I do not like to comment on rumors until I establish their accuracy. I issue this E-Mail to all subscribers for fairness as I have received many questions regarding Winspear over the last two days. I have answered most of them this evening upon my return from the PDAC. This E-Mail will not count as an issue. A complete update will be issued late Monday upon any news release.

Question: Winspear Resources (WSP.v/$3.02) - March 12-14, 1999

I heard today that Aber is in default for their share of the 1999 drill program at Snap Lake. I also have heard the Winspear is considering breaking up the company into two companies so as to isolate Snap Lake from their other properties. What is the rationale for doing this, in as much that the other assets at this point in time have no value. What do you suspect the impact will be on the Winspear shares.

Answer: March 14, 1999

SOME LIKE THE 'ICE'ing ON THE CAKE

We may see a news release from WSP on Monday to clarify the ABZ situation. I know there was a deadline in the contract for the payment (I believe it was today). If Aber does not make it, than it is WSP's obligation to shareholders to carry out the terms of the contract for the good of the shareholders (in the long run). They will leave themselves open to legal issues if they do not. We will all know by
tomorrow. Price may retreat, but only temporarily. Last time Aber did not participate, I called it a mistake. Based on geology and results to date, it will be a mistake again. Accumulate aggressively on dips when you see Canaccord buying.

Break up of the company: I have not heard either way and would treat it as a positive. The only reason to split the company is to get full value for all properties. It could also mean that they are encouraged about Hilltop (drilling to start very soon). The shorts will also be hurt by a split. If it is true, you will own shares in both companies. Nothing will change.

Sincerely,
Sudhir Khanna, P.Eng.

TO ALL OR NONE
Interesting how everyone seems to focus on what RT wants, thinks or might have in mind. Not that he is not important. He is but what seems to get lost in the shuffle is that we now have one of Canada's best strategists on our side. Check out Pacific Industries, Westar and BC Sugar. Aber is a sizeable opponent for WSP but is Aber a sizeable opponent for JP? I doubt it! Check out Aber's net worth and compare to JP's net worth and it becomes obvious who will have whom for lunch.
I can't recall JP loosing a fight and I doubt he will allow this one to be lost.
