Interesting article. Sounds like Murphy doesn't spend much time reading articles on ZDnet! As for TA, of course it will always have its place when picking stocks but its not the determining factor when it comes to high tech. I bought into ATHM when it was at 28 and all the mavens were talking about how overpriced it was even then, (Bill Wrexler Profits of Doom?), they ignored the fact that there is a huge market for affordable high speed internet access and missed the boat which brings me to the bottom line. Most brokers haven't got a clue when it comes to high tech companies, I think you have to do the research yourself and learn all you can about the technology involved and its competition. By the way, I talked my brother into buying into ATHM too at about 33, because his broker didn't understand the stock he sold it a short time later when it hit 36, to say the least I think my brother switched brokers.
