Sarmad,

The Max-Pain&#153 effect is a second order effect, so it gets swamped out by momentum driven events. AMZN is relatively new to the study and thus far momentum has been the major driving force. So to answer your question, no, Max-Pain has not been very effective as an indicator. But, that is why it is being evaluated against AMZN, to see how effective it is with this stock.
