Points well taken. I believe there were 31 ISP licenses issued by the Chinese Gov't, & both XNET & IMOT have 1. If you believe Fatt Matt's URL that China will be #2 in the world (behind US) with internet users in 2005, having an ISP license at all puts them in an enviable position. Of course there may be some consolidation with M&A of the major players along the way. It is my understanding that the general plan called for an "opening up" of the internet market by the Chinese gov't in ~ 2 years. However, all bets are off when one tries to predict what will happen given the current state of China-US relations, one of the great uncertainties with both of these stocks. I'm not trying to "bad-mouth" IMOT, just trying to get a meaningful barometer (revenues) by which we might make a comparison of the relative market share of each company. (This will be more important as the weeks go by, since the Chinese have announced their intention to bring out more IPO's on the heels of the successes of the US internet IPO's recently) Food for thought.
