<< THIS IS NOT YOUR FATHERS AMPEX. >>

LOL...I remember,Hugh. Motley Fool storage discussion section ( there is a post a month there now last time I checked). Your posts were great, and I argued in your support ( but we turned out to be wrong then...lol). We may be right this time.

Actually AXC is very much a 50 year old start up again now.
DST market just now beginning to take some form. New ventures onto the web. Took MicroNets old revenues close to ground zero ....now trying to sell their new, higher end products. New strategy. I do hope the letter to investors in the annual report is a doozie, because the boilerplate warning in the 10K is likely to be doozie too.
And I do sincerely hope AXC can finally begin to increase core sales sometime this year. At long last.
BTW...cannot track down link...but read the Carderock storage presentation from an AT&T engineer on various products. Sony does have its own high end D-2 19mm helical scan tape machine. AXC's outperformed it substantially. At&T of course uses an AXC DIS to help monitor millions of calls for phone card fraud patterns. They said in two years of round the clock digital usage they have not encountered a single error. ( can provide magazine link for that if requested. )
