hi hitesh, i'm not sure about the ASND shareholder meeting. i've been successfully trading asnd and currently have no position. i've moved my long-term focus to Globalstar (GSTRF) -- higher risk, hopefully higher return. seems like a bargain to me at $17. good luck to all ASNDers.

Ericsson and Juniper Networks deliver Internet backbone router and
integration services for new public network infrastructure

Date: Tuesday, March 16 1999

Separate Equity and Distribution Agreements strengthen cooperation

Ericsson and Juniper Networks, Inc., today announced a series of strategic
agreements enabling the next-generation of multi-service IP network solutions.

The first of the agreements is a contract that allows Ericsson full rights to
distribute immediately the M40 Internet backbone router as the Ericsson AXI
520. The Ericsson/Juniper cooperation allows carriers and ISPs to take
advantage of Ericsson's systems integration and turnkey support, global
distribution and professional services, while benefiting from Juniper's
extensive IP backbone routing experience.

As part of both companies' interest in developing integrated IP solutions, the
two also have signed a co-operative technology agreement to explore converging
opportunities in voice and IP. Separately, Ericsson has increased its minority
equity interest in Juniper Networks and taken a position on Juniper's Board.

"We chose to work with Juniper because of their broad experience in high
performance Internet routers and reputation for delivering flexible, reliable
systems. Combined with our expertise in ATM switching and IP telephony, our
core IP products are now unsurpassed in the market," said Mike Thurk,
president and general manager for Ericsson Datacom Inc. "This agreement
signifies our commitment to quickly deliver full next generation IP backbone
services."

"Ericsson's deep experience, global deployment and their track record in
extensive system integration projects is highly complementary to Juniper
Networks," said Scott Kriens, president and CEO of Juniper Networks. "By
combining Ericsson's experience with the breadth of Juniper's Internet
knowledge, we will continue to deliver next-generation solutions that
revolutionize the customer experience of Internet infrastructure deployment."

Service providers also benefit from Ericsson and Juniper's unique, competitive
support solution for leading-edge network performance and maintenance.
Ericsson provides first and second-line 24x7x365 global support coverage,
backed by Juniper Networks JTAC (Juniper Technical Assistance Center) and on-
line support services.

The AXI 520 is the first routing system designed specifically to meet the
needs of rapidly growing IP-based high-speed service providers. It processes
40 million packets per second, delivering the fastest backbone routing
performance today. It also provides unmatched port density from DS3 to OC48
coupled with JUNOS Internet software.

The AXI 520 plays a key role in rounding-out Ericsson's IP core infrastructure
product family. The Ericsson Datacom Network solution set includes world-
recognized products for use at the core, access, IP services and network
management.

Ericsson is the leading provider in the new telecoms world, with
communications solutions that combine telecom and datacom technologies with
freedom of mobility for the user. With more than 100,000 employees in 140
countries, Ericsson simplifies communications for its customers - network
operators, service providers, enterprises and consumers - the world over.
