There is a lot of cold, hard cash coming into Go2Net

Doug,

You echo my previous statements. Cash equates to the ability to finance new projects and infrastructure. It also means money for advertising in order to establish name brand recognition.

The only thing negative I can sense about this deal would be the perception that GNET has been effectively removed from the rolls of possible acquisition candidates. Vulcan has effected a stealth acquisition of the company and will not likely be up for selling it to someone else.

The bridesmaid has eloped with the groom, with the parents still dreaming of a full wedding ceremony.

Ain't gonna happen now. Earnings and News will drive the price of this stock from now on, not the perception of a potential buy-out down the road.

Regards,

Ron

"Maybe they'll spend some of the money and BUY a much better name than Go2Net, one on which they can build a real brand."

Completely disagree with you. I see nothing wrong with the name Go2Net. It certainly is one we are already used to, changing now would be like starting from scratch. GNET has started their branding with advertising. Are you suggesting that be a wasted GA expense?
