OK
That was more what I thought from your prior teachings: so when the underlying stock seems to have hit a high but the market seems to be faltering, sell calls, buy them back (or not) when the market and stock fall...then sell puts when the market is coming back...but of course with DELL there is a pattern that we recognize. (It really still is the "same old DELL" but in a market that doesnt yet recognize its internet status ...how could they not?...and is internet crazy.)

Now the part about writing puts to cover calls or calls to cover puts, I dont know if I'll ever do that.
By the way I still dont understand buying puts would you please give me ONE put to buy that is fairly cheap and might make some money...I understand better when I actually do something than talking about it. I may never do much put buying (I am an inveterate optimist even though a Libertarian) but I'd like to understand how they work.
