Anyone care to speculate on the possibilty of takeover by Siemens? Or another European company? It sure makes sense for them. European telecom market is rapidly changing. IP based telephony is replacing Ciruit switched. It is becoming hard for European old-timers to compete. A takeover of a company like IDTC will allow them to secure their place under the sun in this new market.
Just a thought.

i did try to explain why:

- .10/minute for idtc vs 1.90/min for at&t

- buyer can recover the money easily with how much they can charge per minute more than idtc

- nicest part is how the quality difference gap is closing

with quality difference closing, more people, and larger accounts will be using an alternative that costs the same as 19 minutes that you spend on 1 minute. keep in mind, international calling is a cash cow for idtc, imagine what the big boys make on profits. as idtc continues to grow, they will cause other carriers to slow..... get rid of them, not because you want the biz, but because there biz model costs you $$$$$$, and the dollars you charge, you can afford to shutdown the competition.
