The signals Ancor has been trying to sent out to shareholders;
1) 15-20 the world largest OEMs in FC to be announced (Ancor will get one third to one half of those contracts).
2) Account manager for large OEM accounts.
3) Participated in two conferences sponsored by major national brokerage firms (Do you see a company without future going in there?).
4) Huge next generation storage market and switch market will reach $1.6B by 2003.

you are welcome to add to the list. Remember, no rumor.

Walter-Everybody here has gotten it wrong at least once. I think a little criticism is just part of the message boards. I think Ice makes a valid point when he points out that Roy had commented that he thought Ancor had a takeout number at almost half of todays share price. It is also with the understanding that Roy is immersed in the FC business everyday of his life and has an excellent view of the FC landscape. It doesn't mean he is always right.
In reference to the charts Roy and Nam listed, and since I bought Ancor at close to both those times both charts seem very relevant to me.Since the market only looks forward you can say both charts are irrelevant.

I also have little doubt that Brocade did everything as an Ancor competitor to bury the little company from Minnetonka.I may be wrong ,but if they had been successful, I would venture a guess that Brocade's IPO would have happened already.

As far as the price action the last few weeks, the spreads have been huge, the volume low and the knocking knees of some posters to 1/2 points up or down has me wondering how they would want to own a speculative investment like Ancor. It means very little to call any trend now until volume picks up to at least moderate levels.
Money flow has been moderately poor to very negative for almost a month. Indication of a bottom?

Ed

Walter (David Andersen, Kelly Igou)

Gentlemen thanks for the compliments. I appreciate the response.

To "doc", "nam" and "Larry Newman" your previous comments (attached) show a lack of professionalism that never ceases to amaze me. In particular Mssrs. Doc and Nam please re-apply to techstocks with your real names as logins, as I find this anonymity offensive. You want to insult someone, put your name and phone numbers on it I'll reply. In the meantime please keep it to yourselves. I have had countless private interactions with non-anonymous members of the board when they call or write.

I said at a time when ANCR was about 1$ that the company could be had for $40M and I was right. We looked at it and the S-Shares right to issue more stock made taking a position risky, but the company's market cap was only $15M.

All of you are short timers in FC (I've been at this since '95). So looking at this in any light other than over years is not interesting. That is why I posted the longer view (which is what started this whole post, I said it was more realistic and I still mean it).

As to my being rude or mean to ANCR, dream on guys. I have NEVER had a negative comment about ANCR in public or private conversations. I think that each company in an industry picks a path (niche), and time determines their decisions merits. Today the only measurement(metric) of that is stock price. When Brocade IPO's their shares will be added to that metric. Revenue, income, and long term growth potential is how we ALL value companies. Companies that have disappointed investors in those areas are punished in the markets. For an example of an entire industry being punished take a look at ERP & MRP companies over the last 12 months, Baan, PeopleSoft, SAP, Platinum SOftware, Oracle, etc....ouch.

I have stated in previous posts that long term growth in FC will come from cost competitive FC Switching (sub $500/port) and that the NT space will grow enormously. In addition there needs to be an interoperability resolution before Brocade, Ancor, or Vixel can see wide acceptance of their FC solutions. I still believe that, there are no hidden agendas, just an overall wish for FC's success against several new entrants in SAN and Clustering markets.

Regards
Roy Sardina

Great to hear from you Roy.
Roy, from the tone of your post you seem to relish the dismal performance of the Ancor shares. What's up with that? What is your agenda? Yeah right ,you don't have one. I wasn't born yesterday. Don't you like "hub killers". Afraid that Ancor will take what little business G2 is doing? Where are all the big oems from Brocade? hmmmm.
Who is it at Ancor you have a problem with? Hendickson? Nelson? I'm curious about your position. Everybody has an agenda. What's yours?

P.s---seems to me I've heard nothing but complimentary things about you from people at Ancor. Keep in mind, this is a small community. Why would you want to burn bridges in your area of expertise? What floors me about the Brocade "supporters" is they seem to think that by bashing Ancor this will help their ipo. That is absurd. The fact of the matter is Ancor, whether they at Brocade like it or not, is a "comparable". Does Brocade want the only public fc switch company to look weak? Rookies! I sure hope their switch works better than their finance strategy.

The general reaction to Roy's appearance to show a chart and not discuss anything of the state of the FC industry seems appropriate. Weak, Roy, weak. Better off keeping quiet.
