Can anyone comment on this points:

I would think that having the Web site and hundreds of stores would provide CPU will buying power that could not be matched by any competitor or web site (they are the largest seller of PCs). With spinning off Compusa.com, will they still maintain this?

With the buying power they have, why aren't they the cheapest? (at least on the internet)

Your comment was meaningless because out of the two of us, only one claims to know 100% certainty. This is foolish and you know it. Possibility exists for Dell...even if you will not admit it.

You guys just don't seem to get it. Dell considers CPU if the threat posed by other internet marketeers is enough to justify entering a new market. This point is realistic and possible, may not be the greatest odds, but it is a real possibility. Dell has to convince itself that manufacturing capacity and revenue growth warrant the consideration. Then comes the price consideration as other options for new markets are examined also. With Dell's lofty price, the means or method for the transaction shouldn't be an obstacle.

Who know's what will happen...I wouldn't bet on a Dell offer, I wouldn't rule it out though (timeframe for it might be 60-90 days out, rumor sooner...other suitor rumor possible also)'

My strategy? BBY...let it run naturally for now,DO NOT TOUCH IT LONG OR SHORT. Once CPU strategy becomes apparent and public, buy puts and short it until $65-75. Accumulate more CPU at these depressed prices and remain long NO CALL BUYING PERIOD...exits very distant though, maybe spring /2000
