DougHboy, The Barron's article was interesting, but their logic is based on an old paradigm. An expensive PIII/Camino system will indeed make a cheap graphics card run a lot faster. The problem is that a good graphics card (in the Camino timeframe) will have an onboard geometry engine, and onboard texture memory. This will render the SSE and DRDRAM on the motherboard almost useless (no pun intended.) If you want a fast workstation, buy a low cost CPU and an expensive graphics card. The integer and floating point performance of a Celeron is almost identical to that of a Xeon. Scumbria
