So far I have found nothing to confirm the rumored FLC junk bond deal. Looking like smoke.

From the posters that are more gifted in accounting,
it would be interesting to hear opinions on what effect the
$800,000,000 debt offering has on FLC's financial situation.

Of course, any opinion involves assumptions about future crude
prices and capital spending, incorporates the future contracts, with the weighted probability that one or two more could get cancelled.

Assuming that this is FLC's last debt or equity placement
for several years, how long can the company stay solvent
in the current environment? How long can the company stay
solvent in an environment of $16 crude etc.

Some FLC employees assert that concern about bankruptcy is
ludicrous. They feel increasingly pissed off at Yahoo
posters who spread what they consider to be false rumors/possibilities. Some are even scrounging up a few
extra bucks to buy more shares.

I think it would be interesting to hear about what an
"unemotional" accountant would say the facts are, because
it may better enable us to make an intelligent investment
decision.
