Don't know if it moves things, but as he wat talking about it, I watched it jam right up to 16 1/2 from 16.

Don't know if reactions can be that fast or not.

CYCH is working hard on market penetration. Here's a story:

CyberCash Senior Vice President of Marketing Calls for Bold Reassessment of Internet by Retailers at Industry Conference in Miami

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 1999-- Ken Perez, senior vice president of marketing for CyberCash Inc., (Nasdaq:CYCH - news), the world leader in e-commerce payment technologies and services, told more than 700 executives at the Retail XChange Conference in Miami today that they face an uncertain future if they fail to leverage their brand identities on the Internet. Perez told the retailers that the future of electronic commerce will belong to those who recognize that the brand identities they have established in the physical world position them extremely well for the Internet's new frontier.

'Despite all of the hype about the revolutionary nature of the Internet, you can be sure of one thing. When you take a look behind the curtain, you discover very quickly that the Internet is simply another point of sale, another highly efficient way to reach your customers,'' said Perez.

According to Perez, as the only electronic commerce company providing electronic payment capabilities to merchants in both the physical and virtual worlds, CyberCash has a unique vantage point in understanding the challenges facing real world merchants who want to make a splash on the Internet.

''Whatever you may think of the Internet, it is here to stay. According to the industry analysts at Forrester Research Inc., total online shopping revenues are expected to nearly double in the next few years, from $18 billion in 1998 to $33 billion in 1999 to $52 billion in the year 2000. No one in retailing today can ignore that kind of growth,'' Perez said. ''But that's only part of the story,'' he continued. ''Retailers need to embrace the Internet quickly and leverage the brand equity they've
worked hard over the years to create,'' he exhorted. Perez explained that a majority of the successful online merchants in
1998 were names well known to the public, such as Barnes & Noble, Dell Computer, IBM, 1-800-Flowers, Gateway 2000 and Cisco Systems. Perez said that trend is likely to continue in the foreseeable future.

''Why does brand identity make a difference on the Internet? Consumers are looking for the security that brand identity offers. When they see your brand name or branded product, they know you can be trusted,'' Perez said.

According to Perez, security and ease of use are the two most important concerns for online shoppers. He says that technologies, such as CyberCash's InstaBuy® service, are addressing these concerns and will contribute significantly to the growth of online shopping.

Backed by First USA, InstaBuy allows consumers to purchase goods and services securely from online merchants with a single click. Perez said that the InstaBuy service is just one of many industry efforts underway to address consumer demands for convenience and safety on the Internet. If successful, he predicted that e-commerce would continue to grow dramatically.

''Do you remember what it was like the first time you traveled to a foreign country where they didn't speak your language? Do you remember how you felt when you saw those familiar red and white colors of Coca-Cola? You can have the same impact on travelers to the world of the Internet. In the end, what is that worth to your business?'' he asked.

CyberCash is the world's leading provider of secure electronic commerce payment technologies and services spanning the retail point of sale through the Internet. CyberCash, the CyberCash logo and InstaBuy are trademarks, service marks, registered trademarks or registered service marks of CyberCash, Inc.
