"A Tale of the two Greens"
The Greenspan/Greenpeace connection...3/16 Greenspan speech

Farmers who use high-tech farming doing the best compared to others who do not; advanced farming techniques fundamental.

Greenspan points out that 80 percent of drop in farm prices related to Asian crisis. Makes point of how US farm exports important. When foreign demand recovers, so will farm prices. Can't say for sure when that will happen.

It occurs to me that Greenpeace is more of a threat to agriculture than I thought. Greenpeace advocates high input farming, and wants low input farming banned. In addition, they seek to block foreign importers from taking US-grown products. So they threaten two items fundamental to agriculture...productivity on a world basis, and in addition, ag exports from the US.
