PA doesn't have to buy any of those 3.6 million open market shares.

But if he wants a full 54% stake in the company he'll have to pay the going price.

That's why I stated that I believe it essentially places a floor of support under the stock. He got his shares at $65 or so from the preferred convertibles so he is sitting pretty. What better way to support your holdings than to "offer" to buy more than half the remaining float @ $90/share, without having any obligation to do so??
