nktomi Launches Professional Services
SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 1999--Inktomi Corp. (Nasdaq:INKT), developer of scalable Internet infrastructure software, today announced a new Professional Services program to address the complex demands of building out large-scale Internet services worldwide. The program has been designed to help Internet service and hosting providers rapidly design and deploy robust network services using Traffic Server(TM), Inktomi's carrier class network cache platform.
Today's announcement builds on the momentum for Inktomi's Traffic Server among broadband, Web hosting, and Internet service providers. Recent customer wins include Cable & Wireless USA, Concentric Networks, Exodus Communications, Telefonica in Spain, and Telepac in Portugal. In addition, Inktomi's channel partner program has expanded to include over 20 partners in 12 countries.
