Hey guys, just a reminder: you're gonna get a message from the "Max Pain(TM)" folks...they are very protective of their trademark. I'm sure they are happy that the term gets used, but I learned long ago that you have to "TM" it whenever you use their term.

EP(with no bias whatsoever, and contributing to this thread one of the few things he can authoritatively state)

FALSE ALARM!

Yesterday's option action did not appreciably change the standings of the open interest in the various strikes. A lot of contracts were traded, but the net effect on the open interest was small.

Closer examination now shows the max pain point to be much closer to $60 than I previously realized.
