Johnd, 169 1/16. Not bad. The rebounding nature of the stock tells me that someone is looking to possibly upgrade the stock tomorrow. Obviously, an analyst that has it at a "buy" or lower.
I am guessing Prudential which recently started coverage and has an accumulate rating.
That news about SQL Server should cause an upgrade or two.
Maybe SQL sales are strong offsetting "some" of the Office revenue deferal.
I am only guessing at this and did not bother to look into the expected SQL Server 7.0 sales---so don't read into it too much.
The potential seems enormous however---1/16 of the cost of Oracle DB that they compared it to.(see one of my earlier posts).
