CMVT - I did exactly the opposite... I'm holding the underlying and sold the option at a 1 1/4 gain on 10 contracts... not bad for two days. However had I followed this stock for a while I may have done exactly what you said. Right now I'm holding it looking to buy some puts on first sign of volume slowing... to hedge... and to play both ways. Next time I'll know better...

StockSplits.net Announces Stock Split Related Activity
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 1999--Several companies, including Comverse Technology, Inc. and Hasbro, Inc. are now in various stages regarding the splitting of their companies' common shares, according to StockSplits.net, an Internet-based stock information service.

Comverse's (Nasdaq:CMVT - news) Board of Directors announced today a 3-2 stock split. The company stated that it expects the distribution to be on April 15, 1999. Comverse gained 4 1/16 points today to close at $83 3/16.

Hasbro (AMEX:HAS - news) traded post-split today
