Read the March 13-14 issue of the Bull Market Report, the James Wheeler's High Tech Frontier section. It didn't say the deal wasn't going through but it's rather discouraging, if true, to see dissension within ATHM.

At today's close, the price discount on XCIT relative to ATHM is the widest I've seen it yet.

What are you kidding? The hard evidence is in the price differential. The arbs are scared to death of this thing blowing up on them like the Ciena-Tlab disaster. I think it's pretty clear that ATHM is overpaying at this point so the deal could very well unwind. As that great investment advisor Bob Dylan once said, 'you don't need a weatherman to tell which way the wind blows'
