Exactly. That's why I don't plan on selling any until something fundamental changes with the company or sector.

Actually I had bought all I targeted in Jan. But the more I learn about things, the more I think that I should weight EMC a little higher in my portfolio than I had planned. But I just don't want to do it while it's setting new highs and the market is not doing well overall.

I agree on the 35% growth rate as a minimum, and no one, DELL, CSCO, SUNW, MSFT, LU, you name it, are projected any better than that.

So, if I don't get what I consider a good opportunity to add, that will only mean that my core holding is out of sight!

JDN, ever read the "header" of this thread? It was posted on 10/9/96 and asks "how high can this stock go?" which is our title.

Well, I just did some checking, and when Mr. Smith asked that question, the price was $12.18 (split adjusted).

So, I guess anyone can "afford to be without this stock", but if the future is anything like the past, you and I clearly don't want to be one of them.
