some sad pathetic stories---- Some nut asking a 15 year old (Whiz Kid) after losing money on investment recommendation by his son. To: Daniel Miller (0 ) From: TimC Friday, Mar 12 1999 5:00AM ET Reply # of 222 My son pick this stock for me to buy. I did and now have lost 2/3 of my investment. Is there any future for this stock or should I write it off as just a mistake?????Some poor soul without a clue who is about to be without a home. Any opinion would be welcome. TO THE TRUTH SEEK ER- THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH! by: cjjames98 23283 of 23321You suggested selling the shares I have on margin. Should I do this immediately in the morning and sale the entire 2000 on margin at same time? Also, if SEVL does go up tomorrow, even a little bit would your suggestion be the same? This post probably sounds like a joke because of my stupidity in getting myself into this mess. My emotional state of mind, divorce, house for sale, etc., clouded my judgment. And besides that fact I felt like I needed something to keep my thoughts on and my mood lifted up and thought I could make some money at the same time day trading. Despite the fact that I had no training in daytrading and did not realize how hard it would be using a discount broker, and they have reqlly screwed me around. I never know exactly when my orders are filled, and the way I ended up with 4000 shares was thru an order error and of course they accept no responsibility, so I am IT. I placed an order at 11:11 a.m. and it was not filled they did not even have a record of the order when I checked back, the stock was still going up and I thought I was missing a big chance and placed a second order at 11:26 quite abit higher which went through. After the market closed my order sheet finally showed the 11:11 a.m. order and not only showed it, but filled it, and there I was with a margin call of $12,000.00. I attempted to find out how this happened and get it reconciled and they searched and told me that the 11:11 a.m. order of 2000 shares was received when the stock was at the price I stated, but that it immediately dropped and did not reach the price again until 12:45 p.m. and it was filled Posted: Mar 16 1999 12:45AM EST as a reply to: Msg 23260 by the_truth_seek_er
