They know their MII processor has no hope of competing against the Pentium II's speed ratings, so they have to compare their chips to the lower K6-2 standard. Kind of ironic when you consider that the very 'MII' designation was meant to position it against the Pentium II. And to think that AMD is renaming the K6-3 as the 'K6-III' in the hopes that it will be put in the same league as the Pentium III. Tenchusatsu
