Happy (or I guess at the moment, not so happy) Barron's this week had a long article rating the on-line brokers. DLJ and Discover were tied in the # 1 and 2 spot. But this is not a broker dishonesty. This is market maker greed. They will not fill your order until the trade has gone against you. A good broker will fight for you, but it was not Schwab (or whoever) who cheated you. It was the market maker.
