In re DRAM spike: there was that nasty little strike at LG, since settled. People get all exercised about that sort of thing.

andy, i speak of a glut in macro terms. prices spiked up and losses mounted. that is still a glut. however, mu may pull a dime in profit this q as retail dram has fallen 30% in a few months.

remember, mu's output was DOWN 10% inspite of increasing potential output 70%+. that is manipulation. korea also held back a little. in addition, the boxmakers stuffed the channel artificially increasing demand.

so, supply was manipulated down, demand manipulated up and... what was the result? a dime in profits? ooooooooo, ahhhhhhhhhhhh ;-)

in any case where is mu gonna get the billion dollar ante to play again next year?
