Recently it occurred to me to wonder why I should forgive my enemies when I already spend so much time forgiving my friends.

First you defeat your enemies and then you forgive them.

But the purpose of the present thread is --as I see it-- to try to figure out why the stock markets of America continue to reach after valuations that are beyond anything ever seen before, and how to protect ourselves from the folly that is causing this, and perhaps even profit from it, since someone will profit from it and it might as well be us.

So let us put our fortune cookies away and consult our statistics.
