"Nearly 1,000 business, finance, government and academic leaders from around the world gathered in Los Angeles March 10-12 for the 1999 Milken Institute Global Conference."

Caught the tail end of the Marketplace segment on NPR last night and heard about some very interesting viewpoints with regards to the current and future world economy shared by an NPR attendee to the conference.

I took the liberty of finding the URL which will give those interested a detailed and highly organized look at what took place. Fascinating stuff IMO.
