IFLY claim to get 30,000 calls per day to their call centers - every caller gets informed of the website and how much easier transactions are over the website (I've heard rumors of transactions times being around 80% faster than phone sales).

Even though I doubt they really take 1 million calls per month they are speaking about the website to large numbers of people.

They would like to move more and more of the phone business to the web.
If you read the prospectus on the company you'll see a highly focused approach on finding efficiencies for their call centers - particularly through technology - thus a customized version of turboSABRE and now IRIS - the interactive website.

These guys know the airline ticketing business like the back of their hand and they know where the profitability lies.
Management has huge experience in the area - I used to add up the total number of years the management team has in airlines/travel - well over 100 years combined experience.
Compare that to Preview Travel - whose main business plan seems to generating revenue from advertising!
