Here's my take on the current situation...Simple really, in the run to 20+ there was short selling going on all the way up...smarter people sold some or all of their position and are perhaps taking a wait and see or perhaps gone entirely...

I have not sold a share...although I had given it some thought...but, when I try to think where to put the money from the sale I am at a loss since I'm not a mo-mo trader anymore... the grass really is
not greener..

As to what is going on #1, the float is Not 13 Mil... it's @
best 2 Million...ask CIBC, Merril, or AlexT Brown, what the float
really is their research dept probably has a good handle on
the #'s so with the 7+ mil day and the 2 3-4 mil days alot of
shares were sold short and the only way to get covered is to
scoop us stops and reel in the weary and panicked before the
NEXT NEWS? whatever that is? and whenever that is? folks
are waiting to hear about the bla bla blah...news and have
not the mm's see this as an opportunity to get covered ie.. no
news..or not the "right news" to get the price down and
cover, it's well orchestrated in my opinion however, I remain
unaffected because I don't need the money @ present... And
until we get some form of confirmation that the DEALS are
indeed going to happen we'll be slowly walked down the
price ladder...forget about the "need to be above a certain
MA...that's Bull, the delays are for whatever reasons...I
suspect it's taking time...and those in the know are just
biding their time while nibbling away @ shares creating a
futher shortqage...

My problem is timing and work I can't be 2 places and focus on my job and the market... so I sit tight...no pressure from margins etc...so it's not a problem waiting.

However, I was not the one that said "Imminent event", nor was I the one that said "you'll hear from us shortly"...

Both connotations imply a defined time frame which to me has passed...others may disagree...no matter...

It's just a tad frustrating to say the least...I take
(solstice)(solace){whatever}, in the fact that as a "long", I
have the time to wait it out be it 3-7 days or 3-6 months, the
bottomline is that it will happen and I'll be here when it does,
but, the misleading statements made by mgmt does little for
credibility...

today's news was important but, in fact all it really said was
that IDT tried out Seimens stuff, and it worked...on IDT's
network, the question I would have is were the new XNET
switches installed on the network they employed to validate
seimens tools?

Funny, thing is that when they could not frre up shares at a
certain price they raised the ante, so to speak to garner what
they could... now that those shares have been reeled in they
will drift us lower on no news or no significant related news
and In fact the "BIG NEWS" wil probably be "anti-climatic"
and only time will heal, the broken IDT...It's going to take,
some serious moves by PR and Mgmt to get this done in a
hurry, ie. before this month ends and we go into the april
fools sell off...

all of the above is my humble opinion

cheers

Do you really believe "NO ONE" knows? I guess you've never run a public company. I think Belinda was looking for some other opinions not a lecture.
