Hi David-

Still think it is going to take Dell 5 years to get back to the old high (55)? At least that's what you thought (IMO, ridiculously) 3-4 weeks ago..

Oh, maybe we are now talking 4 years and 11 months...Even still, I think Dell has a pretty good shot <g> Care to change that prediction?

If not, you ahould hook up with the guy on Burke's thread who thinks Dell's EPS growth over the next 5 years is going to a stellar 20% p.a...you could double-team us over here....That is, until Dell reports 45-50% EPS growth this year..then those predictions are not going to look so hot....

Sorry for the sarcasm, but that was a pretty dire prediction, no? I've noticed that all of the doomdayers have scurried away to pounce on other bleeding prey (in the meantime) and will be back the next time Dell drops another 15%...and they will convienently up their targets of Dell's ultimate demise (like Lucretius who originally had a destruction target for Dell last year of 30...and then the stock split...but then he came back on the thread, months later, posting the same 30 as his downside target..he's a slick one, no doubt...too bad guys like me, Sig, Venkie live in this neighborhood <g> what we may lack in savoir-faire, we make up for in LONG MEMORY (well, at least me..)

David, dell (the co.and the stock) are not like other stocks and companies. never mind the past performance, thats history...but why is everyone so down on dell as if this is the beginning of the end. I don't think so. many good years of solid growth ahead for dell and the pc biz. msft will surpass the 1 trillion mark in a few short years or sooner, and if this bull continues then a few select companies may make the 500 billion cut, IMO.
