Doc a response is in order, you're wrong.

Alright guys someone get out the historic quotes and share numbers for me, I remember having a conversation with an investment banker and my lawyer (the transaction had nothing to do with G2) the date was the weekend of the 2nd of October 1998 (I was on vacation at the time and spent friday on the phone rather than out hiking with my family). My rationale was that I knew what it cost us to do the switch at Brocade, and if we could buy ANCR for a premium over that days closing price of $1-1/8 it would be a deal. They had not yet adopted the poison pill. Their market cap was in the range of $14M-18M and that was less than the paid in capital at Brocade, so it seemed a deal. Just after that the S-Share guys forced ANCR to issue a bunch of shares.

The lawyers and bankers looked at the ANCR filings and determined that the investors ability to continue to issue shares made a significant transaction almost impossible. So we canned the idea and moved on.

I need to look at my note book for that time period to see my detailed notes, but that's basically how I remember it. Can someone verify stock price and share numbers (ergo Market Cap) for that period.
