Hi Michael,

With respect to the general idea that economists are usually wrong when making long-term forecasts, have you read Harry Dent's "The Great Boom Ahead?"

He lays the groundwork for a very believable (IMO) position that the level of economic prosperity or lack thereof for a particular country can be measured by the total amount of births that occurred approximately 50 years earlier (thus the current boom due to baby boomer spending).
