As Apple investors, we should be happy about this policy. And to me, it makes sense. As I said earlier, Apple's decision to plummet the price of OS X Server itself means more of Apple's profit has to come from the sales of server hardware.

This G3-only support is just Apple's way of "encouraging" people to bite the bullet and buy a new server box.
