Rex,

I got the impression that the interface was simplified. In any case, even Windows CE systems have no trouble recognizing SanDisk CF as evidenced by my recent exposure to the Vadem Clio.

I read a recent press release about the FLSHF Millenium chip and they are boasting capacities upto 144 MB with write speeds of 550 kb/s. That much storage space comes with a price, so I don't see it as a threat to removable memory. Again, manufacturers will probably try to sell "bare bones" boxes with a low capacity sample CF card and let the consumer decide about upgrading to higher capacity.
