Seems another player is moving in to our neighborhood.

Snap CFO Andrew P. Hyde said the online portal, jointly by CNET (CNET) and General Electric's (GE) NBC unit, will launch its Cyclone high-speed Internet-portal service within two weeks. Hyde said the service will compete against Broadcast.com (BCST) in offering media-rich content such as sound and video. "We want to create the Web's largest rich-media directory," Hyde said. Snap's appearance comes on the heels of kicking off a new advertising campaign that began on national TV Sunday. The company says it has seen an eight-fold rise in Web traffic since July.
