If read the question properly, it was referenced to the thirty percent gap down in AVID, which is difficult to fill. You can tell the other bozo I was right here on this planet! Besides what chart you looking at points out a huge gap down in Oct. in TLAB????? Speaking of Planets... Astrological Perspective... The "Astrological Scoring" link can be found on the right hand side of our site, just under the "Lunar Ingresses" (Or follow the Astro/Bradley link at the top of the page). Vedic astrology pays particular attention to transits from the Moon (called Gochara), and ascribes positive or negative readings for each planet relative to the transiting Moon. We present you with the tables and instructions for "scoring" any first-trade stock chart, as well as giving you several examples of how this is done on the link. If you scroll down to the bottom half of the "Astrological Scoring" link, you can see that Microsoft (MSFT) is one of our "scoring" examples. Whenever the Moon is transiting through the sign of Aries, MSFT has a -6 score. When the Moon is passing through the sign of Taurus, MSFT has a -2 score. Now note that the score changes to a +2 when the Moon is transiting through Gemini, and a +6 when the Moon is passing through the sign of Cancer. These sharp contrasts between the scores for each sign is what first attracted me to this study. I'll give you a few examples of how I apply this information in the Microsoft "scoring" chart, but I also encourage you to work with these "scores" on your own. In that way, you can gain your own insights into how to work with this ancient craft. It would be a good idea if you have a 6-month daily price chart for Microsoft in front of you, so that you could follow along with this exercise. The first requirement for this strategy is that a 3-day price reversal low must occur in the time window of the Moon's transit of either Aries or Taurus. The reason why it must be a low is because of the heavily negative bias of the "scores" for these first two signs. 11/03/98 was a 3-day reversal low (of 104.75) for Microsoft. The Moon was transiting through Taurus on this date, so it met the first requirement. The next requirement for this strategy stipulates that a 3-day upside breakout must occur within one trading day of the Moon's transit of Gemini and Cancer. The reason we are looking for an upside breakout is because of the heavily positive bias of the "scores" for these two signs. Microsoft had a 3-day upside price reversal on 11/05/98, when the Moon was transiting through the sign of Gemini. Therefore, the second requirement was met. For this particular strategy I use an eighth of a point above the highs as confirmation of a breakout to the upside, and an eighth of a point below the lows as confirmation of a breakout to the downside. The 3-day upside price reversal on 11/05/98 took out the high price of the previous three days, which was 107.3125. That means that the upside breakout occurred at 107.4375 (an eighth higher). The 11/03/98 low price for Microsoft was at 104.75. This means that our stop would be placed at 104.625 (an eighth lower). Our price objective is simply the difference between those two numbers (107.4375- 104.625= 2.8125), which is then added to the breakout point (107.4375+ 2.8125= 110.25). That price target (110.25) was hit on 11/09/98. Tomorrow, I'll continue with this study on Microsoft and Gochara.
