not sure if this applies here or not--any thoughts WCW, A Subsidiary of Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc. A Time Warner Company Gets Internet Video Technology License From United Leisure Corporation LOS ANGELES, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- United Internet Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of United Leisure Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: UTDL), announced today that it has granted an exclusive license of its full frame, full motion Internet Video technology, Parallel Addressing Video to WCW, a subsidiary of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., a Time Warner Company (NYSE: TWX). WCW produces and markets television programs and live events featuring wrestling superstars. The license provides for United Internet Technologies to participate in all revenues generated by the WCW website (wcw.com) utilizing the PAV technology. Such revenue participation includes revenues from advertising, sale of merchandise and website Pay-Per-View. The exclusive license relates to wrestling and associated activities. WCW's Internet pages currently generate more than 30,000,000 hits per month. The company is optimistic that the number will increase significantly upon establishment of the new service. WCW will merge the technology into a new expanded website, (wcw.com), including scheduled matches, new segments and Pay-Per-View matches, all in full motion video. The new website will combine the attributes of traditional sites with a distinctive design that United Internet created to bridge the worlds of television and the Internet. This exclusive application of the technology is set to debut online this summer with a major promotional launch on the Turner Network Television and at all WCW events. Eric Bishoff, President of WCW said, "We are thrilled about the concept created by United Internet Technologies. We think the programming we create together will re-define how people use the Internet and provide an additional innovative outlet for WCW. We studied all the different methods of delivering full motion video and found this technology to be far superior than streaming or any other video technologies for both quality and consistency." Because United Internet Technology's application does not use streaming video as does Broadcast.com (Nasdaq: BCST) or RealNetworks, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNWK), it works with all modems and at connection speeds as low as 14.4k. The technology is compatible with Netscape Browsers and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Brian Shuster, President of United Internet Technologies said, " We are excited to be creating this new Internet programming for WCW. This project gives us the opportunity to work with Turner Entertainment to change the way the Internet delivers entertainment to the public." Brian Shuster said, "We will distribute our software utilizing the very successful model that America Online (NYSE: AOL) created. We will distribute our advanced technology software to the general public for free on CD-ROM's. In addition WCW will distribute our software at all its live events.
