would a typical buyer purchase in units of one(1) or hundreds?

Hey, I'll take a dozen if it'll help the stock. :)

The 211601s large internal memory blocks, multiple internal bus
structure, and integrated I/O subsystem, possess all the features
necessary to build very large parallel systems that provide true
scalability to any number of processors. Spectrum plans to develop
modular VME, PCI, and SHARCPAC hardware products based on the ADSP-21160 SHARC DSP, allowing customers greater flexibility and scalability when developing very large, high-performance, parallel DSP systems.

Aida can be configured as a signal processing co-processor engine for
industry standard SBC1s such as the Motorola MVME2300 series. Intensive signal processing elements within the application are off-loaded to the DSP, while the RISC processor focuses on data processing, resulting in significant increases in system performance and data throughput.

The module sounds as if it is designed to increase data processing speed and keep it separate from on board dsp funtions allowing both to operate independently adding memory and speed to the system and further allowing rapid i/o from module to board using a hurricane bridge. Ie any system requiring lots of data processing can benefit from this module..think large scale multiprocessing re customers MAC
"Many of Spectrum's parallel processing customers involved in radar,
shipboard sonar, diagnostic imaging, vision systems, and radio
surveillance applications will look to this module to provide scalable
processing to their current SHARC networks," ie boeing dod siemens and to be named in co's.These are my thought and not intended to hype or mislead the hapless II.
