Victor: Your points are well taken. The exchange between Cramer and Granville is an excellent example of new age analysis and fundamentalist thinking. Regardless of substance or style, valuations today reflect a herd mentality without regard to specific characteristics that give value to equities. Neither Cramer nor Granville get passing grades. At least Cramer admits that he's sometimes wrong.

Successful investing must begin with a specific goal using a disciplined approach. Ability to consistently achieve your goal will result in a fine tuned methodology. And even this approach will sometimes bite you in the ass. I own CPQ at 48.
