I disagree with this statement. Most 'intellegent' people on SI probably don't spend a whole lot of time on the individual stock threads. By contrast, I suppose there are plenty of 'sheep' that do, thus giving the threads their hot rating. I've actually noticed this same phenomenon... but no way do I have the guts to short something just cuz SI methods currently have its thread deemed popular. (I'm sure that's not your intentions either... interesting theory nevertheless.)
